Why It Matters:

Even minor wear or overlooked damage can cause basket failure at height — putting lives in danger.

Key Points:

• Inspect the basket for cracks, weld failures, bent frames, or excessive rust.
• Check all rigging gear: shackles, slings, hooks, and attachment points.
• Verify the load rating tags are legible and in place.
• Tag out and remove any defective equipment from service.

✅ If in doubt, don’t go up.

Ask the Crew:

• Who inspected the basket and rigging today?
• Did we check for cracks, rust, or worn rigging gear?
• Are any components missing tags or showing damage?
